We’re big fans of Jean Veloz, one of our lindy hop treasures at 93 years young. Here she is, dancing again to “One Girl and Two Boys” for which she became famous in 1944! She's still killing it on the dance floor, this time at Glen Echo's historic Spanish Ballroom.

  • Watch The Brat Pack Team do an amazing, hilarious recreation of a Jerry Lewis dance scene from the movie “Living It Up” (1954). At the Savoy Cup 2017 in Montpellier, France. (I guess the French really DO love Jerry Lewis.)

  • Read this sweet homage in the Wall Street Journal to longtime Ellington collaborator and composer Billy Strayhorn on the 50th anniversary of his death.  Younger, humbler, and gay, he lived for most of his life in the shadow of the Duke. But his contributions are incredible, from "Take the A Train" to "Satin Doll" and more than 100 other compositions. (Hattip: BaroloPgh.)
  • Lindy Focus has led the pack in terms of promoting safer spaces at their event over the years. They shared recently their “one year plan” to demonstrate their commitment to event safety. Very impressive.
