This time next week, George Gee & the Jump, Jive & Wailers are once again closing-out Waterside Plaza's summer concert series on Wednesday, August 20th, from 7-9PM. This FREE concert is performed outside on the East River. (Take the footbridge across the FDR at East 25th St; stay above the street level and walk towards the center of the four high-rise towers, facing the East River.) Dancers are welcome! It's a huge outdoor space with a constant breeze off the water and miles of danceable concrete (sorry no wood floor). There's no hassle with water, coatcheck, wristbands, restrooms, etc. You can buy food and water (from the Gristede's supermarket) or bring your own stuff.
