Remixed Fridays
Friday February 12, 2010
29 West 36th NYC (2nd floor) NYC

Quoted from Swing Remix
Featured Band is Baby Soda! If you had the opportunity to be at our last dance party at 29 W 36, you know it was an amazing atmosphere. We filled up this new space, creating an absolutely electric and pulsating floor for the dancers and great acoustics for the Band. This month we feature Baby Soda, a band that is on "the cutting edge of a new movement loosely known as Street Jazz". Gaining in popularity amongst the underground Balboa and Lindy dancers, this band brings "an eclectic set of influences ranging from New Orleans brass, Jug Music, Southern Gospel and Hot Jazz".

Dance Class "Move of the Month" at 9pm, Plus simultaneously, we will offer a beginner class for those who are just starting out. Music at 9:30pm. Guest instructor / DJ Heather Flock.

Special $16 offer for Lesson & Dance Purchase Now!

The Move of the Month is gonna be a fun one. There's no name for it, but trust me, you want to know how to clearly lead this, and know how to follow it. The connection principles are advanced, but super easy to learn. Bring it!

If this is the move I'm thinking of, it's actually been banned in 4 states and causes mass hysteria when performed at the 1979 Harvest Moon Ball.

That said, can't wait!

WHA???? Wow, what ca-motion over a 'move'

I LOVE IT!

lilieblue, the suspense thickens! Now does the move happen in the library or the kitchen? What was Mr. Green doing there? ;) I'm weird... fact.

sweeeeeeeeet

The move will happen all over the dancefloor, by city and country mice alike, forbidden or no. True story.

Why's the lesson only 1/2 hour??? Is there any other dancing going on? What can I do with myself between work and 9:00pm?

Spencer

We get the space at 9pm.

We wanted to have a intermediate or above level lesson, but at the same time we wanted to get the music up and running.

So what we came up with was a 30 minute lesson titled "The Move of the Month" which is a short routine with one good lead move, and one good follow move. We have popular teachers and its only $5 (or $1 if you buy online)

So, that is what's what.

Thanks,
Spencer

snazzyjas

and it all happens tonight! =)

besides so many things to do between work and 9pm here's a list:

my laundry
my errands
cook me dinner
feed me dessert
oh and get me dried sweet potatoes from china town

have fun! ;)

I was lucky enough to get a preview of the "mystery move" last night - I highly recommend everybody check it out!

Rikomatic, I think it was actually the Harvest Moon Ball in '78 - '79 was the pretzel precursor incident. But correct me if I'm wrong. ;-)
