Hey everyone, I'm going to be in San Diego this weekend for a wedding, and was hoping to get out for some Lindy Hop or blues on Friday. I found some dances on Wednesday, but nothing on Friday so far. A friend mentioned that there used to be dancing near the beach, but barring that, where's the best place to go? Thanks!
If you're willing to drive up to Orange County, this weekend is the 24 Hour Danceathon which is Lindy Hop event to raise money for cancer research. The event goes from 11 AM Saturday to Noon Sunday, and there's lots of Bands, DJs, Contests, and Lessons throughout the 24 hours, of which, most people stay the entire time. Check out the schedule of events here. You can just show up and pay to get in if you are interested, or you can join a team before hand (I'm on "Swing Club at UCR" if you're interested).

Friday night also has blues at Ciao Bella Italian Restaurant in La Mesa. The event is called Blue Bella and usually starts around 9 pm.
