Hey, I noticed a lack of buzz about Jazz at Lincoln Center events here, and I offered to help them share helpful info with our community... First thing they wanted to let you all know about is that this coming Wednesday, there is an open house for SWING UNIVERSITY, their acclaimed courses on the history of jazz.

Here's a snapshot of the Spring term:

-Jazz 101 with WKCR personality Phil Schaap -Gershwin & Jazz with pianist Bill Charlap -Early Jazz Piano with pianist Terry Waldo -Jazz 301 with WKCR personality Phil Schaap -Duke Ellington with WKCR personality Phil Schaap

The OPEN HOUSE this coming Wednesday, March 17 is a great opportunity to meet the faculty & learn what Swing University is all about. And here's that link: http://jalc.org/concerts/details309a.asp?EventID=2260

This music is not too fast; you're just too damn slow.

Added special deal: people who show up at the open house and register for Swing University that evening will receive a 25% discount off enrollment as well as a comp pair of tickets to the Saturday evening performance of Yellow Jackets featuring Mike Stern.
