This just shows how precious life is.

OH my god. I haven't been on the site in awhile but had to come and add my condolenses. K always seemed like such a nice guy. Other than that I'm at a loss as to what to say. It's just horrible. I hope there was no pain or suffering involved. He will be missed!!! My thots are with the families.

My condolences to Summer, their daughters and the rest of Keith's family and friends. I only met him briefly a couple times but I know he was a good guy and that he will be missed greatly by the dancing community.

Here is a video of Mike Roberts MCing a tribute to Keith at the Austin Swing Syndicate's weekly dance on August 5th. The Syndicate also played a song, C Jam Blues covered by The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, in his memory.
R.I.P. Keith Shapiro... you will be greatly missed...
