It's the Blue Door Pub's take on the Twin Cities' culinary gift to the world, the Jucy Lucy (a hamburger stuffed with molten cheese.) The Blue Door Pub, a gem of a neighborhood tavern in St. Paul, offers mind-blowing culinary variations on the concept. I am a finalist in their contest to come up with the most succulent and creative take on the Blucy.
Uff-Da Blucy Description: "Tater tot hot dish, meet blucy. A burger stuffed with mushrooms and cheddar, and topped with a tater tot patty, creamy mushroom bechamel, and crispy fried onions. Beer battered green beans are the designated sidekick for this Blucy, dontchaknow." ("Uff-Da" is a phrase commonly used by Minnesotans of Scandinavian descent. Tater Tot Hot Dish is a traditional regional comfort food.)
