Hi,
Charlotte and I are coming to California for Balboa Rendezvous 2012.
We are making this our honeymoon and are planning a road trip around LA, San Francisco and San Diego.
Would any kind dancers be prepared to host us for a night or two during our trip?
We hope to go the following dances
Thursday 15 March, Lindy Groove, Pasadena
Friday 16 March, Carillo Ballroom, Santa Barbara
17 March - 28 March road trip along coast to San Francisco, staying in SF for about a week then driving to Placentia through the Sequioa National Park.
Wednesday 28 March, Southland Strutters Ball, ATOMIC Ballroom in Placentia
Thursday 29 March, Lindy Groove, Pasadena
Friday 30 March - Sunday 1 April, Balboa Rendezvous, San Diego
If anyone could host us for a night nearby any of these or along the way it would be fantastic.
Thanks in advance. Looking forward to dancing with you lovely Californians.

Since you're going to be in SF for roughly a week you might consider the downtown Mason Street hostel, I stayed there for a few days in 2009 and found it pretty good and in an excellent location. (Although standard disclaimer about downtown, it does have more than its share of panhandlers partly due to the city's year-round temperate climate.) You may find that preferable to moving around multiple homes while in SF, and the hostel offers full tourism information making your stay quite efficient. The time you're going appears to be hostel low season, so it should be less crowded & more mature. Finally, staying there will allow you to ditch the car rental while you're in that city, as multiple transit options are available within easy walking distance.
Also, while in SF consider their standard/recurring lindy hop events (besides whatever exchanges or workshops you were planning on attending)--I attended three dances and they were all quite good.
