......ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ! OK.... I'm pissed. Have you Car Talk thread posters heard about this: (New York-WABC, September 30, 2002) — Drivers will have to think twice before parking illegally in New York City anymore. Starting Tuesday, October 1st, fines for some city parking tickets…

Miata's back. New clutch makes all the difference in the world. Replaced the rear mail seal and front oil pump seal which had leaks. Since it's November, I installed the hardtop back on. Kinda always looks batman-y at first.
I had modified Mopar Superbee stickers generated for the Smart. Took forever to arrive. Installed them yesterday as well. REALLY fun. To the trillion frame and rear.
Plus my Mopar Superbee coffee carrier came in from Canada. Sits in the drinkholder now. Yellow and black.

Installing a yellow one on top of a black plastic bit under the front bonnet later tonight. Awaiting my metal Superbee emblem for glovebox as well.

The trick is to get over the cover and read the book.
Driving an M3 makes the driver feel like they are G_d: superb brakes incapable of dive (there's days I go out in it just cause I know the brakes will make me giggle), potent midrange that absolutely catapults, easily cornering with the throttle, the billet-like chassis that only gets better when there's bumpiness, nary a hint of slack in the controls and body motions, that Bimmer growl...oh momma.
And from the sound of it, this gem is the edgiest M3 yet.
But sounds like 200k out the door and only in the Motherland. :(

Tonight, I was an a-hole.
I saw the black BMW X5 (in the center of this pic) hogging a double spot (that is good for the next 4 days). 10 empty feet in front of him and 10 empty feet behind him. There pretty much isn't a car that can fit in a 10 ft spot. With 20 ft total, he clearly is "saving" a spot for another vehicle.
I was like, oh eff him!
And promptly took out my keys to the Smart and the Adventure bike and filled in the gaps. Took all of 3 minutes (despite the fact that I was already set for parking)
Mind you, there is still 4.5 feet between his bumper and my bike.
I will likely walk to work in the AM just to be certain he sees what was done! Just doing my part. MAN is he gonna be pissed.

After witnessing neighbors ramming into my bike while parking by braille, I've chosen to be that asshole by parking square in the middle of a car size spot with my bike. Eff em.

My car was smooshed again while parked on the street last night - clearly a large car (SUV size) turning around with absolutely no clue about the size of their vehicle and scraping the side of my rear fender. Like I don't have enough to deal with right now.
Effing ahole. If you need a ing huge vehicle to make up for what you lack, at least ing learn to drive the ing thing.

Washed the Smart for the first time today. Took like 5 minutes tops, as there's not a lot to clean.
Then, while driving into Manhattan, I realized a super-quick tap of window/convertible roof power buttons gets them to all automatically lower together.

Just bought 4 new shoes for the Jeep at www.tirerack.com, based on a recommendation on this thread (I think from Eff).
I still haven't received/installed the tires, but I have to say that this was the best online shopping experience I've ever had. Tirerack.com is what every online store should be. Extensive selection, spot-on recommendation, reviews, customer ratings, tests, videos, the list goes on. I went in shopping for "pretty" tires and left with a better knowledge of what I needed and with great tires that I wouldn't have given a second look if they were at the rack at WalMart.

Thumbs up for tirerack.com.
They are fantastic. Wait til you see how they are shipped. You are gonna love the "eco-friendly" packaging.

Eff, your new BMW has arrived.
Pathetic. So many conflicting design-elements, it makes your head spin.

Thank you for being that A-hole. People on my block "save" spots all the time and I got yelled at a few times when I still had my motorcycle.
A pleasure and a joy.
