......ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ! OK.... I'm pissed. Have you Car Talk thread posters heard about this: (New York-WABC, September 30, 2002) — Drivers will have to think twice before parking illegally in New York City anymore. Starting Tuesday, October 1st, fines for some city parking tickets…
Quoted from "4wheelsnews.com" ...The recall came about as a result of incidents of sudden acceleration the most gruesome of which was the crash two months ago that caused the deaths of an off-duty California Highway Patrol officer and his family. Their 09 Lexus ES 350, on loan from a local Lexus dealer, reached speeds of 120 mph (193 km/h) before going over a roadway barrier and into the upward slope of a riverbed...

You know what I don't get about this?
How hard is it to put one of these things in neutral?

Exactly, this has happened to me a number of times, usually the gas pedal gets stuck on the rubber mat after I had to floor it to overtake somebody. Keep calm, put in neutral, pull over and turn off the engine.

Well, it's been two months with the Smart car.
I have been able to park directly outside our building every night since buying it.
In Manhattan, that doesn't happen. With a typical car it would be nice to get a spot maybe 3 days in a row before having to walk a block or more. Especially, when getting in late at night.

Could just be the tires... the tread pattern on the right looks a lot more like what you'd see on a set of snow tires. Bridgestone Blizzaks perhaps?
Then again it could also be all that extra weight... you'll note the pattern on the right also gets all the way down the the asphalt thanks to Audi's extra fat.

Yep, much like the oversized BMW hatchbback thing, it's not very pretty, and I don't actually see it as being particularly versatile. It seems like an SUV or wagon of similar size would be much more versatile. If you are going to have something that big that sits up that high, why not get an SUV?
The hatckback costs you cargo space and gaisn you nothign except the ability to say "I don't drive and SUV" or "I don't drive a wagon".

I shot this photo, today, after I geeked out. I knew it from the KLF, since I've never seen Dr. Who. (Man, I'm a music nerd. But why drag music into it?)

Eff, you really need to start using your turn signals
That was like 100 million dollars worth of broken cars.

You're right. You'll need more insurance, too.

I think that Cadillac's design- and marketing teams have been hitting the crack pipe pretty hard, lately.
Eff, your new car:
Hey that's the same color as his underwear after that time he hit a patch of oil on the GW Bridge off-ramp!

Hopefully, Toyota will learn a lesson many people learn early in life; poor-quality work doesn't help you.
Is it just me or this is one of the ugliest cars ever?
I can see the versatility and all, but seriously?

My yearly crack-pipe has arrived; Consumer Reports' auto issue is out!
God damn it America, would you just embrace the wagon already, they are awesome!

Pontiac Aztec 2.0 I fear!
How aerodynamic!

I'm beginning to see the wisdom of this comment. I got the Corolla, and HOLY #%#$!!!!, is it boring!
Just wait till it opens up full throttle on it's own... then it will get exciting!
