Yes, I do my best WORK at nite, late at night, when all is stil except the depraved cries of two hot bodies......longing to attack each other.....deep w/affection and lust...tongues and legs entwined. Held together by a simple urge. The urge to merge. A simple and complex happening. Hot, wet and twisting limbs..clinging to each other. Can't get enough...hot, damp and writhing in exstacy. Oh and I like the emoticon too! 8)

:o ummmmmmmmm What kind of bar does not serve martinis? I mean can it even really be called a bar if it does not? I would agree on the statement that the owner was a loon. :D Owe and I would love to try one of those swamp water martini. BTW favorite quote from MASH. Yeah! He wanted it to be a sports bar and did not want to cater to the Martini drinking clientel....go figure.....

Vodka is a funny alchol, it is made so as not to have a taste....so if you mix it, it does not matter if its rack or top shelf....

Don't tell that to Eli. You'll have a fight on your hands...

I strongly disagree with that statement. How would you explain the fact that some types of vodka are better than others? Of course the taste matters. It's all the more noticeable when you are doing vodka shots.

But it even makes a difference in mixed drinks where vodka is one of the main ingredients. - Black Russian with Stoli, please.

Perhaps in Long Island Iced Tea it's not as important.

as for flavored vodka... I strongly recommend taking a trip to Russian Vodka Room and ordering some of their flavored vodkas. Horseradish is my absolute favorite.

Yeah, on the subject of flavored vodkas...

Sure, you're paying more for a flavored vodka than you would if you made your own infusions. And it's not as good.

But sheesh...who (besides Frankyboy) has time to make infusions? And how many bars make their own? I've been to several that offer their own flavored vodkas...and boy, are they good.

But if I want that vanilla stoli and Coke, chances are it's not gonna be a fresh infusion.

Lord, don't tell my boss that all vodka is the same, or else he might fire me. LOL! He drinks Grey Goose and nothing but. No other vodka crosses the threshold of this office, and if we're out drinking I better expect all my martinis to contain GG. Thankfully, it's not horrible...I rather like it. It's no Stoli, but it'll do. Now, where's MY Swanktini? I'd settle for Swank splashed with some vodka, in a pinch. ;-)

As a recent visit to the Russian Vodka Room here in the city can attest, the absolute best infusion I have EVER had in a woodka was the garlic/pepper vodka... it's like a shot of a dirty martini!!!

Some days, a simple Stoli Vanil & Coke works wonders - and there's not a bartender around that can mess it up.

Yes, Eli...It's true that vodka's have different and distinct tastes....but they are not supposed to. A true vodka is supposed to be tastless. That was the original concept when it was invented.

Don't get me wrong...I love the different vodkas......My favorite is the french Grey Goose. Fermented on a champagne limestone it's taste is crisp and citrusey.

And I love the Absolute Peppar in my Bloody Mary's, because it is peppery.

The Russian Vodka Room is an EXELLENT recommendation...another GREAT Russian vodka lounge is the "Pravda" in Manhattan.

I still stand by my statement that UNFLAVORED vodkas, WHEN MIXED with a juice or soda are indistiguishable from one another.

So why spend the money on Grey Goose if you are going to bastardize it with a mixer??? I say, "Save the money and use the rack!"

It's quite in the martini lounge tonight.

It seems fitting it is quiet on Christmas Eve. Less than a hour left on my shift. I would love a Stoli Black Russian, right about now. 8)
