As I am in the process of changing my legal name, I figured that it only made sense to change my online alias as well. Instead of...
Toni Winchester Busch
(toniwbusch)
...I am now...
Toni Busch Duguid
(tonibduguid)
This change also applies to my AIM and e-mail addresses, but I will be using both for a while. The wedding was a ton of fun. Everyone loved our first dance to a slowed-down version of Bi Mir Bist Du Schon that was remixed for us by Marcelo. The always lovely Tina (gatorgal) was the best DJ ever. Though, I must admit, our impassioned rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody was the highlight of the night. Thanks to Matt (Mr. Wonderful) Ariel (arielalalalalala) Blain and Laura (redpixie) for showing up. The only problem was, the rest of the guests were too intimidated to dance! The electric slide sure solved that problem...
I'll have to post videos and pictures when we get them. The photographer kept trying to show Chris how to dip me, and he was like Dude, seriously... I got it.
You may now go back to your regularly scheduled Yehoodi...

I have to give a shout out to Matt and Laura for helping avert the Sound Equipment Disaster That Never Was. You guys rock.
I thoroughly enjoyed DJing your wedding. And seeing your buds doing the Chicken Dance. :)
And I'm still recovering from being around your high school buds. Who knew engineering geeks could be that entertaining? :)
BTW, where did you get your cake? The girlfriend that I was visiting Sunday is getting married in September. She'd like to know where you got your cake. If there's anyone else you'd like to give a thumbs up (or thumbs down) please let me know.

What... speakers aren't suppose to smoke? It's probably a reeeal good thing that Amy and I had retired to my parents house before that fiasco hit.
See? I really did have cool friends in high school. Since none of us were getting any action back then, we had to find other ways to amuse ourselves. Trying to jump into fans, breathing fire, and chasing cows apparently fit the bill. I'd forgotten how much fun they were. Apparently, during the reception, my mom went to the one that I had a huge crush on during high school, and said "Well, since Toni couldn't marry you, she had to marry Chris instead." :o :crash:
Both the wedding and the groom's cake were by Vivian Sparkman, the little old lady that was running around doing the food all night. Her is (352) 481-2867.

So, yeah...
Six+ years ago I was getting married and (apparently) Jim was going from Lieutenant to Sergeant. I'm assuming he has kept his rank, but unfortunately, I have come full circle and am returning to my previous name.

(And just in case I was too vague, so people don't have to wonder, my divorce was finalized this morning, hence the return to my maiden name. It's been the best of a bad situation, and I wish him all the best and hope for a positive future. The entire process took just about a month (including the enforced 20-day waiting period), if that gives you any idea of how hard we worked to keep things friendly and reasonable.)
Dunno. He got the house (and other debt to even things out, so it's cool as it gives me much more flexibility), so I'm quietly exploring other options. I'm an only child and my parents don't want me to go too far, but I'm keeping an eye on the NE.
Awesome. Then you should seriously wear them to a DC Gators meetup. Along with Tebow facepaint. The Promisemaker may be gone, but his memory will live forever!

These types of transitions are always difficult. Nice you are not making them any more difficult than they need to be. Best of luck and warmest wishes.

Oh, Toni. Like Zeno, I too remember when you were in college (building Fibonacci models) and then doing things like buying a house and comfy sectional sofa... even though we only met and hung out (finally!) at Y10A, I feel like I know and love you enough to want to give you all the hugs and support in the world. I'm glad you were able to keep things civil and easy... and if it ends up bringing you to the NE, then hey! :-)

I was so wondering if this thread would get started. LOL
Had such a good time. The highlight of my day was seeing the pic of Chris on the cruise ship in his speedo.
Wouldn't have been so bad if he didn't have those glasses on. I laughed so loud I think the caterer heard me too.
And Tina, I want you to DJ my wedding too!!!
I'm there. You'll have to provide the Clay Aiken. :)

Picture it, Clay and myself, in all white Tuxes. . .
The reception is full all of our friends and family. I have on silver shoes to give props to Toni.

Been there, done that about 15 years ago. Divorce sucks but life after divorce can make up for it.
May you have good fortune and happiness on your new adventures!

Hang in there Toni - been there, done that. The process is no fun at all, no matter how long it takes.
Post-divorce is not the same as single - but life goes forwards, not backwards, and your experiences (yeah, the sucky ones too) can only benefit you.
