Hey, I didn't get a sticker! I did vote, though. I gave myself an hour to go vote before work and it took me 15 minutes, tops. I was afraid of the lines since they've been talking about having such a shortage of volunteers to run the polls here in NYC.

Since the polling place is half a block from my apartment, I was out and walking up the sidewalk at 6:40 this morning. First in line and first to vote in Hanover Township, PA, 4th Ward, 1st District.

I voted. First time ever. It was great. They normally don't have a lot of those coffee stands in my neighborhood in Brooklyn because it's so residential, but this morning they had a coffee/donut cart right outside the polling place. The coffee was yum yum good. And voting? It kinda rocks.

I didn't vote today. Voted last Thursday, though. I was amazed at how high-tech Tennessee is with the voting...no punch cards here! :D We were more behind when I voted in Silicon Valley.

Quoted from "karaboo" Hey, I didn't get a sticker!
I didn't get a sticker either!
I did get a sticker yesterday for voting in the mock election.
George W. Bush won. Kindergarten, the swing vote (meaning they'd swing whichever way their teachers told them) were shown a picture of Bush wearing a cowboy hat. That sealed the deal.

Ah, just curious, my polling place is St. Joseph's at 44th St & 30th Ave. I didn't figure they'd be the same, just wondered how close they were to one another.

I voted. Our voting site was chaotic. I think I could have easily voted two or three times. I breezed through the M-Z line, while my roommate had to wait for 15 mins in the A-L line. Sucka!

No voting for me today. :( My first time ever not voting. My absentee ballot was misfiled and sent to the wrong address and they were unable to rectify the mistake in time. I'll be on the long list of disenfranchised voters - hoping not to be part of some crazy circus featured on the Daily Show. Good luck Colorado (and Kerry)!

I voted! Got there at 8ish, was out by 8:45. My polling place was ridiculous pandimonium, simply because there were five election districts funneled into one polling place, and the lines had to snake around the metal detectors in the lobby of the Brooklyn Municipal Building, where the machines were set up. The security guards kept moving the line one way and those poor polling volunteers were trying to move them another way. The guards ended up snaking one line into a metal detector, so that whoever was waiting in that particular spot would set off the detector and it would beep every five seconds or so.
Still, it was worth the chaos and annoyance to be able to exercise my democratic right to choose our nation's leaders.

I voted... We stopped off on the way to work. It's never crowded at my polling place. The only reason it took more than 5 minutes out of my day was the idiotic woman who made us decide to park and walk, rather than park right there - she was STILL getting out of her car when we came out of the polling place! Then there were the pollworkers, who god bless them for doing it (I might like to do that one year), had a great deal of trouble hearing and using the alphabet to find the right page in the book. There was only one woman ahead of me in my half of the alphabet.
I saw video of Park Slopes polling place this morning... yikes. Crowded.

Since you live on my block are you zoned for 500 Pacific Street? I used to be zoned for PS 321 on 6th Ave but now have to go to the new polling place since I moved to St. Marks Ave. I'd say it was the quickest voting I have ever sone. In and out in less than 10 minutes!

I voted by absentee ballot like a month ago. This is my first time voting. I wasn't inspired in the last election. RD
I lined up at 6:25am, was at the desk by 7:15. Glad I lined up early. By 6:45 the line was wrapped down the block.
Exciting times.

Yes, I voted in a stickerless location.

Voted! But sticker-free :(
Woke up at 6:30. Got to the polling place at 7:00 and got out at 8:30. Only thing bad about it was the wait.

Larry, where would you be voting, here or CO?

voted at around 8:45, but no sticker. The place was a madhouse, but somehow I got through the whole process in less than 30 minutes.
I voted 2 weeks ago by absentee ballot. The first presidential election that I was eligible for! :)
I will vote as soon as I get back to NY later today. I hope the lines aren't too bad (probably will be, I"ll be voting after work hours).
