man, don't blame jesus. he always takes the fall for everything these asses want to do. poor misunderstood jesus. he just wanted everything to be mellow; he wanted people to love each other. he said he'd take on the sins of mankind, but i don't think he quite knew how MUCH sin they'd dump on him or the lengths people would do to shift the responsibility for their actions to some freaked out misinterpretation of his intents.
i dig jesus. it's mostly those christians I can't understand.
btw, i can't recommend this book highly enough. fun for everyone, bible scholars to atheists alike: Lamb -- The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal

and fozz, that book is hi-larious. and pretty darn insightful too. it introduces many major philosophies in an very very accessible and enjoyable way. i've read it twice. easy to scarf in a marathon, but also easy to section off for re-reads.
