Hey Alison, I know a ton of people from our dance community go but they are all West Coasters, and the line up seems to be heavy that way. I know your community are big WC's, too.

So people, is Danvers worth the trip for Lindy Hoppers? It's closer for Alison than for me.

Also...Alison, it's the Swinging Airforce, not the Singing Airforce, although the image of Dee singing does have me in stitches.

I know it's poor decorum to join a forum with a question like this....especially since I don't even lindy....

However......I would love to got to NYE this year but have yet to find someone(s) going up that have room in their car. I'm fairly new the NYC westie scene and don't know too many people.

If anyone has space and wouldn't mind sharing with a westie (who happens to read this site all the time as it's pretty interesting) who doesn't take up much space and is an enjoyable travel companion, please let me know!

If I don't find a compelling reason to stay in NYC, I will probably be going up to Danvers on Friday and will probably have room for several passengers. I will also be visiting friends south of Boston so a ride back may be problematic.

I am also seriously considering another year in Danvers.

I've been before and have had a great time. Though, much of that time was spent in a drunken stupor... I still manage to recall most of it.

Several rooms for dancing, and the music plays continuously. I mean CONTINUOUSLY. Like "all but 4 people are asleep" continuously. LOL.

Lot's of competitions, but it is always an option not to watch them. Many private parties in rooms clears throat , and the chance to spend a lot of quality time with folks who usually only sweat on you.

It's at a good time this year, taking advantage of the weekend. Just be careful of that hottub... it's ruined many reputations.

I always put Swanktinis at the top of my list as an excuse to go anywhere. Alcohol is just alcohol and it only becomes truly sacred through the blessing of father swank.

I'm still not going to danvers though.

I'll be in sunny Argentina blessing my own little mai tai.

Well,

It looks like some more Lindy folk heading up.

I have heard good things too. still look to share room? (2 of us)

Email me if open to this or have space/room.

We are driving from Ma, so can't offer rides.

Looks like Manu and I will be there teaching, dancing, partying, enjoying general merriment.

Now... What to wear for the New Year's Eve dinner show and party...?

Hey,

Yes Frankie Boy , please come on up! The Dinner Line up looks good and more folks seem to be coming on up!

I have room reserved......would like to share with another person. (Or share one also already reserved)

My daughter and I are set to go. And those of you who know Mari know she likes to party!

Val, Marty, Dan and Montrealers performing...DJing-Manu, Jesse M...should be warm!

Let's play http://www.dancepros.net/newyearsevehome.html

I'll be flying into Boston on Dec 31 in the morning...is anyone going to Danvers from the Boston area that I could catch a ride with? Also, is there any way to get from Boston to Danvers other than renting a car (I'm too young to rent one)? Please e-mail me!

Hmmmmn. My crew might be able to help out. We're all in the Boston area, but will be heading out from Somerville (Davis/Porter Square) if you still need a ride.

Only going for Friday night, but I'm sure someone can get you back to the airport on Sunday.
