Boss comes over, drops a hundred dollar bill on my desk and says, "Buy a nice glass of wine the next time you eat at Babbo". Anything cool happening in your neck of the woods? -Eff

Quoted from "LindyWhore" this actually happened friday, but we found out that we're pregnant & having a baby in november. :) the due date is my birthday, november 25.

This morning on the 7 train just before going into the tunnel I saw a bunch of Ringling Brothers railroad cars lined up to come in the city.
Nary a thought of political correctness as I was instantly transformed into a little kid from the 40's in some sleepy town when the circus came in, bringing animals, acrobats magic and all sorts of wonders I wouldn't see the whole rest of the year. :)

My boss just called me to say that I just got a merit raise and it's 3.6 over average. :D He then said keep up the good work and complimented me on some of the assignments I handled earlier in the year.
This could not come at a better time because I'm really running low on bourbon. groan

So a couple of days ago I hop into a cab on Philly's Chestnut Street around 40th, heading down to 2nd Street. The cabbie had some jazz vocalist singing and while it sounded like Nina Simone, I didn't think it was her. So I asked the guy and that launched us into a rather enjoyable conversation about music ranging from jazz to rock. Really nice guy.

Today I re-discovered Sudafed. I can only describe my mood as fizzy. In an I-want-to-pop-five-more-tablets-but-won't-because-I-have-grownup-responsibilities kind of way :flykite:

Congrats!! My that is good news.
My boss e-mailed me this morning.
"Do you want to attend Progress users conference? It is at Las Vegas on 06/04 for three days."

Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica.
Congrats, LW!
Today, out of the blue a coworker on my new team left a dvd on my desk she thinks I'll like.
Another asked if he could borrow one of my jazz cd's... people ask to borrow music once in a while, but never the GOOD music...
And the 2nd half of boring training was cancelled - instead I get to "shadow" (<-- read: hang out and BS until it's time to leave).

It's a weekday and it's not raining. :o for those that live in Northern Ca you know how amazing this is.
Not quite. I wish I had that dude's money though. Or at least a decent table at his restaurant.
