Its theme song will always be stuck in my head. I guess I just took it for granted that I'd be able to share it with my kids someday. Sure, it had its cheesy moments (remember Mr. Angel?), but all in all, Kids Inc. was a happy, upstanding show that you didn't have to worry about your kids watching. I'm not sure what drew me to it at first. I think maybe it let us all live out our fantasies; to be famous, to be in a band, to belong to something. How many of us grew up in a town that had a club for kids? Not me, that's for sure. It was like Chuck-E-Cheese minus the puppets, games and (gasp!) adult supervision. I don't know about you, but I really wanted to live there! Personally, Kids Inc. was a save haven for me, an escape from my un-tv like life. I was the typical fan: looked up to Gloria, identified with Renee, had a crush on Ryan, thought Richie was annoying, laughed at all of Riley's dumb inventions, etc. And every time someone would come up behind me, look at the screen and say, "Hey, they're not really singing!", I would immediately jump to their defense! Seeing as half of them went off and got recording contracts (was that in their contracts or something?), I must have been right! Another thing Kids Inc. did for me - it helped gain me musical independence from my parents. Remember being old enough to protest their stations while in the car? It was in the 80's that I would suddenly hear a song on the radio and think, "They did that on Kids Incorporated!" Then of course, I'd find out that the lyrics had all been "Disney-d" And yet, all these years, my mom still credits herself with turning me onto it. Just for the record, point of obsession 7 was just an accident. I never meant to call my little sister Stacy. See, she's my little sister and she was annoying me, and the show had just went off. It's called a Freudian slip, people!

Now I know why she is so psycho! She can't get the theme song out of her head! That would drive me crazy too after 2 decades!

I'm a little astounded that the only thing she finds irritating about the show is the wardrobe:

You know, the hotlinking would be an issue if she paid for the bandwidth or whatever. But her pictures are on photobucket. So the amount of hotlinking done on her images doesn't affect her at all, because photobucket hosts the bandwidth. I don't get upset when someone hotlinks to a photo on my flickr account - they're on my flickr account so my actual servers don't have to deal with them.

Ok so we're back to batsh!t. Alllrighty then.

I didn't ban her, I locked her thread because the combination of her and my users wasn't very productive. She wasn't selling anything and neither her or my users were being nice people about it. So I locked the thread. Big difference. Nobody's ever been banned from Swingmonkey and I'm actually kinda offended here.

Meanwhile, yehoodites are reading this thread and commenting on it at the same time on the thread on yehoodi. Because you didn't have to sign up for a screen name on their site, other yehoodites started to join in (though we didn't know who they were, except poke alex who was posting about how much fun masturbation was on a different thread, alex is the bomb). now it's friday and inbetween her friends defending her honor and non-bitchieness, I pined for a girlfriend. Then, some bonehead yehoodite, got all wishy washy about the whole thing and posted the link to our site on theirs. Immediately we had a bunch of jr highschoolers jumping on our thread, calling us "wrinkly old over-30yr old swing dancers" while various yehoodites corrected their pathetic grammer. To bring the show to an end and bow out, I decided to use the ol' Oh I thought this was someolace else, I asked if they were going to some jr high dance, which they said they never heard of and then: Me: "Oh, isn't this bristol central high school"? Them: "No, this is South Kingston Jr High in RI" Me: "Oops my bad" then, jessie who was wanting me to im her to find out who my friend was, IMed me to get mad at me and I had a hillarous conversation then went somethign like this: frank: "will you be my IM buddy, I only have three" jesse: "sure, I have 82" frank: "wow, I really only have two cause one if my friend who didn't ask you out so hes not my friend anymore and my uncle harry" jesse: your friend is mean Frank: "he is, and he's not my friend anymore. my uncle harry is bald, just like this kid at school" jesse: that's funny frank: yeah, we used to shoot spitballs at his head jesse: that's mean frank: his head was full of spitballs, he had a dense head jesse: that's funny frank: but then he died of cancer jesse: omg, that's sad and all that happened over a thur afternoon and a friday, two days documentated as the most unproductive in the history of this country...except for web hosts.

Do you think we should be scairt? She sounds so powerful with her "IS THAT CLEAR" and "I'll shut you down" statements. Oh no... I wonder if by posting THIS she will come looking for me.

This is the funniest thing I have read in awhile -- maybe not so funny as strange .. almost like a little peek inside the asylum when no one knows you're watching.

My kid sister tells me that the Bab[bleep!]girl just graduated from South Kingstown High School in June.
