Ozswinggal, awesome - thank you! It was a pleasure being there that night - hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Great that you posted the bpm too ... not always easy to tell when you're dancing to the tunes! And it certainly helps sort out the different versions when you're trying to collect the tunes for your library!

Yeah Darren - people love to dance to it - so I played it - and most had never heard it before.

As for the listing bpms - at home all the swing DJ's list the song title, artist, bpm, year and sometimes album too. This gives other DJ's and people who are looking for the tunes the opportunity to go find the music if they want to and the bpm is helpful for other DJ's. All my songs in itunes have their bpms listed - makes a huge difference when looking for tunes to suit the mood of of the floor.

Last week for the birthday jam, someone played a really great version of Rose Room. I have no idea who did it or what album to find it on. Any info anyone could give me would be appreciated.

Also, couple other questions now that I've been to Frim Fram 6 or 7 times: how are the DJs for Fram picked? Do unknown visiting out-of-towners ever get to spin? Do dancers give feedback to the people that run Fram on which DJs are really good and which ones they don't like as much in order to facilitate a consistent venue? Who was the DJ two weeks ago (Oct. 5th)for the second set of sets? (he was really good)

Alright. I'll differ my discussion questions to the other thread, but the first one is still valid. Really want to know who did that version of Rose Room.

Oh, and, of the 21 replies in this thread, only 5 of them are actual set lists.
