You all need to come to Pittsburgh- specifically the Harris Grill where Tuesday night is BACON night. That's right- steaming hot freshly cooked bacon in baskets at the bar. FREE while you're drinking. And it just keeps coming. The greatest idea ever!
My brother made it a few weeks ago. He said it was relatively cheap, like 10, and pretty easy to make. The hardest part was weaving the bacon tight enough. He said it tasted really good, a bit greasy (no surprise).
