6:15-7:30 LINDY HOP/SWING: Let's get Crankin' (Prereq: Swing/Lindy knowledge)
You've got some solid swing basics down. Now let's work in some swingin' combinations. Leaders learn fun creative ways to rotate and release your partner. Followers learn the art of handling these creative combinations while adding their own movement. Will include some spins and dips. Held at Goldman-Sonnenfeldt Auditorium at the JCC (SAME place as the dance)

Maggie most recently performed Lindy Hop and Tap in the 2008-2009 holiday show Sleigh Bells Swing with George Gee and his 22-piece big band in Times Square. In her more than 11 years of swing dancing, she has held multiple national and international championship titles, choreographed award winning routines, and taught and performed in major national and international cities. Currently living on the upper west side with her husband, Maggie is pleased to join in the fun of SwingReMix right in her own backyard. maggiemoon.com
Paolo Pasta Lanna
Paolo has been specializing in partner dances since 1995. He has toured with with Wynton Marsalis and The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, as well as “Swing Dance America” and “Forever Swing” The Big Band Musical Revue that featured Michael Buble. He has appeared on several Television/Film programs from CNBC’s Great Stuff to The David Letterman Show demonstrating the Lindy Hop and he continues to hone his knowledge and skills of these classic American dances by teaching and performing throughout the world. Paolo has founded events such as the Summer Jamboree Dance Camp in Italy, Central Park Swings and this very event Swing Remix. paoloswings.com

Maggie is rockin' follow y'all, and I don't think she gets to teach enough... so NYC follows should definitely head out for this one. I re-read her bio on here, and I still think she is being modest!

We are thrilled to be heading back to NYC this Saturday! The new Remix venue looks great, and as always, we look forward to performing for all of our NYC pals- and our old Pittsburgh friends like Yakov too!
