Hello All- We're looking for PWC's [People With Cars] who would be willing to help with airport and event transport for VIP's (dance teachers, musicians, vintage dancers, etc.). If you are able to even help out with one trip, it would be a great help. PLUS, you get the opportunity to meet some of these extraordinary people first hand:) If you are interested in helping, please contact us at the email below. We will be sending out a list of needed transport times and locations.

Thanks! -LoLa (Lori M. & Laurie K.)

Here is our latest list of needed airport DROPOFFS for VIP's for the Frankie95 weekend. If you or someone you know can help out with any of them it would be VERY much appreciated:) Most people need to be picked up from Midtown (8/34ish) and dropped off at their respective airports.

I don't think you'll get many bites here.

1) New Yorkers don't own cars

2) The cost of parking in New York by the venues is comparable to the cost of a taxi ride to the airport.

3) Public transportation to the airport is quick and easy

Good luck though

Zeno, let those of us who do have cars and are accustomed to parking them worry about it. :) I myself am doing a pickup run.

I do agree public transport is easy -- once you know what you're doing. But it can be tricky to figure out (especially if you are elderly or international) and it's certainly not as quick as having someone else drive you. The organizers are just trying to take care of some special guests. I don't fault them for putting out a call for specialized volunteers. If it doesn't work out that they can find any, I'm sure they will use an alternative.

Norma Miller needs a ride to the airport?

Uh, I would think one dance with Norma Miller would easily be worth the cost of a reserved private sedan ride to the airport. If nobody else jumps on that opportunity you let me know.
