Quote "Some of the best pianists from all over New York come to Bryant Park to play on the Piano in the Park. Tap your toes to the music of Scott Joplin, the Gershwins, James P. Johnson, Fats Waller, Eubie Blake, Jelly Roll Morton, and more every weekday."
Looks promising!
Has anyone gone to this?
Would there be interest in picking a day and planning for there to be a bunch of dancers there?
I think Fridays would be best for that sort of thing – I won't be able to be there on a Friday until June 5th but that shouldn't stop anyone else from putting stuff together!

There's often a small group who makes it once in a while. Jerry, OpeningMinds, Zabette. I know I've seen a couple of others too, but cant think of them offhand since I don't make it that much.

There are a few of us who work in the area ... no point in follows going if there are no leads, so post up if you're thinking of going one day, and see how many will join you!

huh, it looks like we have redundant threadiness.
i would be fine with abandoning this thread in favor of the other one. if an admin wants to lock it that's fine.
i was there on wednesday until around 12:50. i was behind the piano player on his right. personally i found the music to be ok but i wasn't super into it.

Ok, I'm planning on coming to Bryant Park tomorrow, so if you want to get your lunchtime dance on, let's do this :D
This might be a plan, although I'm thinking some might be trying to conserve their energy in advance of Frankie's Festival! Who all is coming?
