Some of you may have noticed that there are a small number of different Mermaid Parade related threads out there, and might be confused as to which one to post on and where to find them. As a public service, I have neatly collected them all in this one place for you to use as your guide.

-Please note that this thread is only for 2009 Mermaid Threads. If you would like information about Mermaid Parades past, please consult our archives department.

Mermaid '09, Just the Facts M'am.. Probably the most useful of the threads so far. It is also the easiest to find given that it has been made into a sticky. Also, the name explains it quite succinctly.

Did someone say CONEY ISLAND MERMAID PARADE?!! A general purpose thread started by Miss Behave which is open to all Mermaid related topics.

2009 Mermaid Parade Weather Watch Another highly useful thread in which you can get the latest information on the weather that is expected for the day of the parade, and post your own predictions or what you've found the "experts" have said.

Mermaid Parade Routine Thread 2009 For those of you who will be participating in the dancing part of the parade, here is where you will find all the vital information about the routine and when practices will be held. I also just wanted to say good luck.. we're all counting on you.

Mermaid Parade 2009- Saturday, June 20th This appears to be a first attempt at an all-purpose Mermaid Thread. Apparently Miss Behave is better at starting those than Lilieblue. However Lilieblue is is kicking MB's ass in the Dance Routine Thread category.

Mermaid Parade=Vintage Bathings Suits (or not) All discussion of whether to go vintage or not are perfect for this thread. There is also some mention of body painting, but technically that's not so vintage.

Describe Your Mermaid Costume in 5 Words or Less! Equivoque's highly successful thread in which people get to both discuss costume/vintage options and play a game of brevity and wit while doing so.

Harvey Keitel is the Mermaid King! In which it is revealed that the Mermaid King will be the silver screen's Harvey Keitel. This is where to go if you would like to coo about how much you love him, as well as discuss appropriate bribes.

Mermaid Tattoos Though not particularly active, it is mermaid related. If you would like to discuss Mermaid Tattoos, either real or stick on, this is the place for you.

Make me feel bad for missing Mermaid Parade. Chivalrous announces that he has come to realize he has an unavoidable conflict and will not be able to attend. He invites all of you to make him feel even worse about it than he already does. Kimpo and Monsignore have also expressed regret over their anticipated lack of attendance.

Mermaid Parade, what do you think? Equivoque would like to know what you think about the Mermaid Parade. The thread begins with a picture of a woman who is apparently a coworker of Rubymae's. There is also a poll in which you can inform him of exactly what you think based on a series of pre-selected answers.

It is almost Mermaid Parade time and I am a little upset... Equivoque explores some of the dark side of Mermaid Parade and the pressures it can place upon a young Yehoodite.

Mermaid Parade=Spandex (or not) Equivoque questions whether or not he should wear spandex at the Mermaid Parade this year.

My Mermaid Costume-MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Equivoque informs us that his costume is in fact spandex, and is now completed.

Mermaid is 6 days away commence starvation in 5, 4, 3, 1 Equivoque points out that those who would like to lose weight before the parade are coming to the final days to do so. It's not clear whether this is limited to those wearing spandex or not.

And finally: The Mermaid Parade Thread Consolidation Thread This time-saving device is the ideal place to look if you would like information regarding the various Mermaid Parade threads. And if you need to determine the ideal place to post those mermaid-related posts of which you would like to post about.

Mermaid is better than... A rather poignant thread in which 7and8 and westiegrrl alternately discuss the superiority of either mermaids or unicorns. No doubt this is ground zero for the biggest online battle since pirates vs. ninjas.
