Bio: DJ Bill Speidel was raised on Rat Pack crooners & Benny Goodman before earning a degree in Music Composition and discovering the bluesmen and buskers of Manhattan's lower east side sidewalks and dive bars. As a lindy DJ, Bill has become a workhouse for dances throughout the mid-Atlantic states while his unique blues sets blend up-tempo acoustics, growling brass, sassy winds, raunchy barrelhouse piano and gritty Chicago-style harmonica to challenge and inspire dancers. While Bill is a musical purist, his willingness to redefine what we think of as "blues standards" has earned him the nickname, "The DJ's DJ." Although Bill's now in Norfolk, Virginia you can hear him DJ'ing from Orlando to Quebec City to Seattle.
