I don’t know if you need a pick-me-up, but I certainly do. Here’s a slew of fantastic lindy hop dance videos that might help get you through the day, maybe even the week.

Let’s start it out with some adorableness. Here’s Ramona Staffeld, with her kiddo, doing a recap for a class she recently taught. It’s hard to believe anyone could steal the show from Ramona, but her little boy does his best. Amazing.

Let’s move on to “Dance Song (for the End of the World)” by Lizzy & the Triggermen, a sweet music video featuring fantastic lindy hoppers from all over the world.

If you enjoy - please buy the song here! https://lizzyandthetriggermen.com/single/11505/dance-song-for-the-end-of-the-world "Dance Song (for the End of the W...

Among the dancers you might recognize: Vincenzo Fesi, Remy and Pearl (!) Kouakou Kouame, Jo Hoffberg, Maren Merian and Kevin St. Laurent, Matt Richey, Mikey Pedroza, Nikki Marvin, LaTasha Barnes, Anthony Chen, Irina Amzashvili, Jenn Salvadori, Sing Lim, Voon Chew, Minn Vo, Todd Yannacone,  Kenny Nelson, Jessica Nelson, and many more!

Speaking of Anthony Chen and Irina Amzashvili, the couple also recently made this super cute video of themselves dancing while Anthony is on a “onewheel”. Surprisingly, nothing was broken in their house during the filming of this video.

Now let’s close it out by going in the Wayback Machine to 1970, where Miss Sylvia Sykes and her partner Jonathan Bixby competed in an American Bandstand dance contest. Sylvia is of course an internationally renowned lindy hop and balboa dancer / judge / instructor. Rumor has it that they won 3rd place and rode away with matching Stellar maxi deluxe mini bikes, which really could not be more 70s.

Airdate: May, 30, 1970 Which couple did you like best? Here is your first (and unfortunately last) look at all of the 1970 Dance Contest finalists from acros...

I hope these gave you a few minutes of joy in the midst of whatever is going on in your world. We’ll get through this nonsense, friends, as long as we take care of each other and ourselves. In the immortal words of Miss Norma Miller: “If you ain’t got a horse, ride a cow.”
