Manu Smith on "Drinking and Dance at the End of the World" Podcast

Our friend Rob Celtic sits down with Yehoodi’s own Manu Smith for his new podcast “Drinking and Dance at the End of the World.” Rob is a street dancer (primarily Chicago footwork, if I’m not mistaken), and so I assume that’s where his audience skews. So it’s cool that Manu gets to introduce lindy hop to dancers who might know very little or nothing about it.

Check out the show, where they discuss :

  • the innovations of Frankie Manning,

  • entrance into the vintage street dance community,

  • the obligations of leading a scene and being a dance ambassador,

  • Hella Black Lindy Hop,

  • black social dancing,

  • teaching to counts vs teaching to rhythms,

  • and boxers vs briefs
